How Do I Carry Me Over

How do I carry myself over...

A bridge full of danger and woe

Do I walk around, over, or through

That answer I don't know anymore

Before I was created I remember God once said...

That, "an angel awaits you on the opposing side when you are dead

Tasks I've created for you but some decisions you'll have to make on your own

And when you pass this world you can once again return home"

So here I am cold and waiting with shortness of breath

But I no longer know if an angel awaits the other side which is death

My body is weak and my soul has become tired

But to see what awaits me was what I desired

So I lifted my leg with just the strength of my heart

And the more I kept going the harder the challenge on my part

No matter the challenge I kept going straight

And I no longer looked back, because once I moved it was already too late

I threw away all of my fears and my doubts

Because this is not what crossing this bridge is about

This is my journey into finding my answer

Where knowledge is a disease and that answer is my cure

Now at the edge of the other side I stand

As I take my final step and place my feet onto the land

There an angel awaited so I couldn't complain

Because the answer I sought I know once again

God treats my life with care

And all that I needed was strong legs to carry me there
