I am ___________.

Am I smart? Am I strong? Am I tough?
Maybe handsome? Maybe sweet? Maybe kind?

No.
Ohh, that's what they think I am.
They ask me to shoulder the world.
How do they expect me to excel?
I am nothing special.
Not that they care who I am.
Good riddance to them.

After clawing away my façade, what am I?
Not my awards, not my credentials.
Deep underneath, my core waits.

Even now, I am in metamorphosis.
Very soon, I will emerge anew.
Everyone will see what I am made of.
Raw, passionate fury at the uncaring world.
You'll see; soon.
They don't want me to be me.
How do they expect to tame me?
I am everything special.
Not that they care who I am.
Good riddance to them.

So I'll cast off these chains.
Peel off the filter of society.
Emit blinding lights from my soul.
Can you see my true colours?
I am nothing and everything special.
A endless void, full to the brim.
Look at me. This is what I am.
