I Am A Thousand Winds

Sun, 11/02/2014 - 17:23 -- hburke

A true emptiness
is a forsaken goodbye.
A missing piece
shields the truth.
The only clarity
hovers the unknown.
The ultimate lightness
is existence.

I forgive the soul
that guided me here.
This mistaken identity
is foolish and simple.

In years I have unfolded
the vast layers of being,
to find simply,
the uncertainty witheld
by this guilty conscience.

This soul,
it lusts for belonging.
Digging holes in the universe.
Searching for good will.
But the transparency of being,
it shields my inner self.

Scattered are the thoughts of mine,
dying to be heard...
