I Have A Dream, Too

I have a dream, too

But must walk across that stage,

But in order to do that

I had to leave that day and age.

I left friendships and bonds

With friends old and new.

It went by so fast,

It doesn't seem true.

I've become a better person

It's been so much fun,

And it seems like I've gone from a walk to a run.

I have a dream for the future

Yet I fear too much change

I fear once I moved on,

It wouldn't be the same.

New family, new house, new friends, new car

To go from that to this

It just seemed too far

I wished it would stop

But it all went by so fast,

All the way up to the moment I realized I was having a blast.
