If You Were Here

If you were here…

Yea if you were here.

I'd show you what life really was

Man if you were here now

Our relationship be stronger than what it was

Wish a real man's heart was physically stronger then a gun

Then our generation can soon see

pulling that trigger ain't really the one

I wish we can flee

From this treacherous world

But you did it unwillingly

Papa they gon get tired of me

Imma keep knocking on that door of success

They gon give me my respect

See I came from the bottom, came from the gutta

I'm grindin for you and my mama

Hope yall both know I love ya

Andre Lamont Wilson is the name

They always called him Dre

He was always known to put a smile on yo face

And is the man I'm missin’ today

See he was strong as can be

Never was the person to let you down

Remember he used to “smother” me

I used to tell him “I can't breathe”

He used to say “why you talkin then”

See that influenced me to become who I was

I didn't talk much and always got shit done

See the potential he seen in me at a young age

I seen in myself

They keep giving me well wishing

While praying on my downfall as well

January 12th is the last day I seen you

So 12 will be my number until the next time I see you

These people are so see through

I don't got a lot of friends I just know a lot of people

The Bible says “o lord my god, I cried out to you, and you healed me”

So did you heal him?

Was he so tired of this world he had to give in?

Or did you love him so much you had to bring him?

It's crazy how God works in a sequence

You keep watchin over me
