I'm not from Ireland

Thu, 10/29/2015 - 18:46 -- ibender

I'm from the world of Polly Pockets,

from sidewalk chalk,

and the Sounds of Music.

I'm from uniforms, blonde braids,

from blue eyes, and loud giggles.

I'm from seventeen Oktoberfests, chicken dances,

and soft pretzels that taste like a pot of gold.

I'm from waterskiing, smooth sailing,

from glistening summer suns,

and "CANNON BALL!".

I'm from J. Crew catalogs and hair commercials,

from Redhawks and Flyers.

I'm from "Grab five life jackets!" and large diet cokes,

from bright pink nail polish and

from the waves of Lake Wawasee.
