Inner Demons

Releasing my inner demons,
Upon this darkening world.
The hatred flows like blood,
Hunger glistening in my eyes.
The souls of the innocent,
Permanently shattered,
By my darkest fears.
My mind constantly melting,
When suppressing my inner animal.
Trapped in my parasitic nightmare.
If only my demons could be controlled,
Perhaps I could be saved.
But I cannot be cleansed,
And the terror cannot be purged.
So step back and keep a distance,
Before the shredding begins.
You try to tempt me with purity,
But the darkness overwhelms me.
Once you start, you cannot escape
The grip of demonic undeath.
Trapped within my once while heart,
Still you attempt to create sense in madness.
Deeper inside me still
Lies the light, blurred un darkness.
The one to extract the purity,
Destroyed by my inner demons.
