Innocent You

Teenage girl afraid to be alone

Don’t wanna be alone in the storm

Mom’s moved out, your dad is away

The devil found a way to make it in

Innocent girl forced to give in

Nothing she could do to stop from suffering

Guy slips away and never returns

Girl left forever bruised and burned

She sits on her bed with her nightlight on

And takes all of her pain and shame

Razor in hand, tears in her eyes

The devil filled her up with too much guilt

She was an innocent girl forced to give in

Didn’t matter how hard she fought him off

He stood his ground and left his mark

He won her trust, then broke her down

A lonely girl trying to be found

Wanting to be brought back to life

Cause everytime she shuts her eyes

He finds his way back into her mind

Innocent girl who lost the fight

Her dad passed away, and her mom wasn’t there

Lonely girl trying to escape

Doesn’t wanna be in a world full of hate

Feeling all alone like no one cares

So she goes to the place where angels live
