Invisible Monster

Lately at an increasing rate

It’s been taking my friends by storm

One of the only ideas I don’t understand

And looks like it’ll just grow more

I really do want to “get it”

Because it’s at the heart of us all

But I don’t let myself fall for it

Scared of the drop below

Which somehow is invisible

To everyone else I know

Until it’s too late to return

And you’re stuck in the freezing snow

“It’s foolish” I say, but I truly know not

‘Cause I never even tried to jump off

What is this thing they call love?
