It’s easy to admit…

when you’re happy and content

when joy is overflowing

when jubilation is clear.

It’s easy to admit…

when you feel sad or depressed

when all your hope is destroyed

when sadness overthrows joy

It’s easy to admit

when you hate or hold contempt

when you simply must abhor

when there’s something you detest

But it’s not easy to admit…

when you’ve said or done something wrong

what you truly appreciate

but hardest of all, I have found,

when you truly feel you’re in love.
