The Lady In Red

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 05:53 -- Ivan

There beyond the hillside lies the Lady in Red

She rocks her first born child in silence cowering under the bed

She weeps her tears hitting the edge of her silk white dress

As she hears the strange man begin to agress

The floor panels creak as the strange man begins to approach

He dons his white knife and is ready to poach

There beyond the hillside lies the Lady in Red

She rocks her first born child in silence cowering under the bed

As the dagger pierced the veil of her silk white dress

Blood began to splatter  over the clothes of her tall white guest

The strange man looked at the child with the utmost joy

Pulled the knife out and said "I brought you a toy"

There beyond the hillside lies the Lady in Red

She rocks her first born child in silence cowering under the bed

The lady began to quiver in fear

As the strange man wiped away her first borns tears

I am sorry my child mommies end is near

But there is no need to worry because daddy is here

I realize that there are spelling errors however this is a rough draft that i'm hoping to submit for a school contest. Constructive criticism is welcomed part of the reason I posted it on this site is to get the opinion of others however please refrain from criticism in regards to grammar my interest is more in the context of the poem itself thank you.
