Little Lion's Lonely Life

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

She hated the world,

Viewed it as cynical and its inhabitants disgraceful.

She wore a necklace composed of empathetic tears,

It chocked her every night.

She loved the world,

Wanted to save it and its suffering inhabitants.

Felt useless and saw nothing she could do,

It broke her heart into a million and two.

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

Unaware of what to do,

She threw herself into a little play.

Thought she could hide behind sparkly smiles,

No one new how broken she was.

Broken without reason,

She pushed to glue the pieces back.

Never had a reason to cry, yet she did.

Always had a blessed life.

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

She didn’t know why,

But she felt hallow inside.

A natural story teller she filled in the cracks,

Made herself the center of untold fairytales.

They began to make her forget,

Forget the good that still existed in the world.

Darkness became her dance partner,

Oh what a lovely dancer.

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

Kept pretending, kept on hiding,

She hated the worried looks she was given.

Magic caught her interest,

Another thing she was good at.

This secret was kept,

Few had earned her trust.

Lost and constricted she found ways,

Coping was everything.

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

One day a Panther appeared,

It curled up next to her and something changed.

Little Lion was confused,

She felt connected to this being.

The Panther taught her,

Showed her the beauty of God’s world, again.

Little Lion no longer wanted to dance,

Not with darkness, or pretend smiles.

Little Lion lived a lonely life,

With a lost cause and little worth the strife.

Little Lion hid herself from the world,

Day and Night, Day and Night.

Until she met the Panther,

Who pulled her out of her hole and gave comfort.

Little Lion learned a true smile,

She was never again showed the broken mirror.

Little Lion lived a faithful life,

With many a cause and much worth to strife,

Little Lion was restored to the world,

To smile Day and Night, Day and Night.

Every night she curled up in her nest,

Prayed to the Lord before her rest.

She thanked him for all the abundant blessings,

Especially for her friend, the Panther.
