A Little Something

You gave me a little something
while I had the time to call you mine.
You left us a little something
before you were called home.

You have a little something
where you are now.
You sing a little something
while you stand there with those angels.

You gave each and every
one of us a little something.
A little something that will
have a special place in our hearts.

You left us a little something
as we sit in that rocking chair.
Hear it sway in the breeze
and remember you telling us a little something.

You were a gem added
to the crown of our family.
You added that little something
of a sparkle into heavens beautiful sky.

I do miss the love,
and hugs and stories
that became a little
something of my life.

The advice I still seek,
will always be that
little something you gave me.
That love I still cherish,
will be that little something
I can never repay.
