Loosing Game

It was so wrong and yet so right

A perfect friendship, a love that I held too tight

Nothing left to guess, no darkness that couldn't see the light

So empowering both souls, hand in hand, took flight

But what goes up must come down

A time came when every eye around me turned to frown

I could only see the wrong, brought it crashing, thundering down

And later when the truth came knocking, I wept without a sound

Since this first love I have let the dove loose

Searching for another love but afraid of meeting a noose

One heartbreak was one too many, so no news -

I step up first to be the lost before I am the one to loose.
