Love Personified

My addiction.
My pleasure.
My destruction.
Intertwined.

Momentary satisfaction, overpowering the blaring sirens of common sense,
Rebelling against my own innate sense of direction.
For that addiction,
My addiction.

It consumes me,
Overpowers me,
Directs me,
Until there is no me.

But after this down, the only place I can go is up,
So I rise.

I fight to control myself,
I fight to direct myself,
I fight to become myself,
I fight to win.

I am not this addiction.
I am not this weakness.
I am beauty.
I am strength.
I am love, personified.
