Mama, I'm Grown Now

Mama, I think I'm grown now

Excuse me?

Yes

You have gifted me with all the knowledge I need to flourish in this world

To be exceptional

You have taught me to embrace the changes the world has to offer

You are the Woody to my Buzz Lightyear

Although you don't understand the complexity of my mind

You oddly still find ways to advise me

I now have all the knowledge an 18 year old can contain

Including all the things you wish you knew

Which is enough for society to take me with open arms

So yes

I do believe I'm grown now

My childhood has ended

I now have to go out into this beautiful rock ball we call earth

And continue my journey

To not only help myself

But others along the way

And please don't cry

I will forever need your guidence

'Cause although I'm grown now

I will always be your kid
