Martin Luther King, Jr.

In the crowd, tension is amounting,

Heavy words from a preacher that could move a mountain,

Preaching about how life is not worth stressing.

He advises people on life’s many lessons,

The crowd is growing with commotion,

The air is ripe with various emotions.

What would be final words from a very great man?

Before he steps off his pedestal stand,

Words even the youngest of children can understand.

His presence on Earth made our lives so much more amazing.

Words from a great man that deserves praising.

Killed on the balcony by an assassin…

Rest in Peace Doctor Martin Luther King.

Sadness struck the world like a cannonball going at full speed,

From a man whose final words were “I had a Dream”

Words to live by, twenty-four-seven,

MLK Jr., you have made us all act more like brethren,

Now it’s your time to rest, take your seat in heaven.
