The modern horse

Heading to your destination

in the car

i call it the modern horse

we drive with our phones

they rode with a whip

we drive with a heater

and a very loud speaker

They had nothing deeper

but a voice instead of a beeper

while we look through our side mirrors

they were turning their heads

they had nothing to call from

but we live with cell phones instead

We hear the phone ringing

they rode along and kept on singing

we answer and we wasn't seeing

the rode infront of us

until a leg starts bleeding

you hear voices screaming

and the head light beaming

while  the sirens squealing

seeing bodies on cement

can't ignore it's a reality check

so just close your eyes

and think how what we Call the modern horse

isn't too safe

with distractions and chaos

don't let it get to you or you'll stay lost

Heading to your destination

in the car

i call it the modern horse

we drive with our phones

they rode with a whip

we drive with a heater

and a very loud speaker

They had nothing deeper

but a voice instead of a beeper

while we look through our side mirrors

they were turning their heads

they had nothing to call from

but we live with cell phones instead
