The Shadow stands tall, watching.

He stands still.

He looks at the wall.

He looks at the window.

He stares through the door.

The man dances in and out of existence.

Peripherally he is there.

When I look, he vanishes.

Why is he there.

Why does the dark follow me?

Through the shadows, he looks to the wall.

The man is the shadow.

I wonder if he is friend or foe?

Malevolent or peaceful.

Hostile?

Angel or Demon?

God's or the Devil's own?

The eyes of its darkness surround.

Is he looking at me?

Or am I looking at myself?

The darkness fades.

The moon falls.

I am alone...

Forsaken...

Alone...

Alone.
