Mother Earth

The green paper that perished the world,
The buildings that rose above the rot,
The shackles that were built beneath,
The traditions that were followed for ages,
The wars that never cease to end,
How so benevolently we see our world?
For thy no creature as intelligent as ours,
And thy no creature as selfish as ours,
We steal from the very own that built,
We rob, plunder, and purge what we may see,
list as if they were only but commodities,
and list as if they are only resources,
We store, horde, create and procreate,
And then we say we are tired, bored, and torn,
For there is never an end,
And there will never be,
For we are not a part of nature,
Rather we are apart from it,
The pleasant water that you drink,
The very food that you eat,
The thoughts that you gather,
The darkness that whistles in the night,
The Sunny days that thirst for more,
And yet we dream for more,
A species created for the test of time,
Yet only thinks for the lust of a dime,
As there is no secret beyond the universe,
And there is no love greater than Mother Earth!
