Mother's Revenge

Location

To clutch at her fingers, would do little to hold

A heart irreparably scorned, a bitter black cold

A deaf ear, a blind eye, she turns to screaming faces

Facing what they have done, Mother screams a bloody ode oh

Faces

Sorry faces playing God

Left with a savior, a guarantee, a hope, a fraud

To make the river run

Back through her veins

Sunken struggles met with a venomous screech of “Your justified pain!”

Stone face, eye sockets an empty pond

I warned you not to reorchestrate Mother’s song
