Music/Listen (Warning: Very cheesy)

*Warning: very cheesy and cliche, all the cheeses in the world melted into one poem*

You lulled me in

with the way you walked,

that sunday stroll through

the park as if you knew where

you were going, as if you knew

exactly who you were, who you are,

who you will be.

I always envied that.

You lulled me in with the way

you smiled a smile that could

power a continent and laughed

a laugh that could bring back the dead

or reverse time. Talked in that voice that

made the birds stop singing,

the entire planet Earth

pausing on its axis

just to listen in.

No one could hold a candle to you.

Not even the goddamned sun.

You lulled me in,

completely awestruck, oblivious,

to your stubbornness, impulsivness,

recklessness, to you.

I wondered how many other girls

were lulled in, completely awestruck, oblivious.

writing notes, poems, sentences, stanza after

stanza, paragraph after paragraph about the

strange specific way you walk or how you walked

in your specific sunday stroll way, or

how you played your music, or the otherwordly

sparkle in your eyes, or that unbelievable smile that

could stop traffic,

you, you, you.

I wondered who else picked up a pen, held it to paper.

wondered who else stopped to listen.
