My Africa

My Africa is buried underneath the famine, execution, and poverty. Underneath all the diseases, genocide, and greed. Buried under people's tangled thoughts of my continent, and commercials of humans they can not feed. The Africa I see is one of great people. Unique and unpredictable.A place that has struggled, but still is hopeful. Not what you merely depict, but one with abundance of love and selfless acts, concealed with hunger and death. A place where your reality is sweeter than your dreams.A place where you'll find the greatest gifts within your heart. My Africa has not been discovered yet. Until every foreigner can distinguish this land, I will continue to call this beautiful place my home.
