My changes for the world

If I could change any one thing I would eradicate the discrimination of people and cross the bridge to equality. I would erase the history of slavery from our minds, so that we can erase the ignominy of downgrading humanity and forget the shame of dehumanizing a race of people. I believe that this is achievable without wishes, but it is the hardest task, and those who have toiled to complete it are regarded with amazement. Using powerful words, men like Martin Luther King jr. and Malcolm X have fought for our race. But we deny them their dreams, because they fought in vain. African Americans are still discriminated against because we continue to fight each other and be racist towards each other. By doing this we spread discrimination among ourselves to a point where there are more racist black people being hypocrites, criticizing white people for being racist when they disrespect their own race more than anything. But it is not all because of our discrimination towards each other that keeps discrimination alive. The fact that slavery has not ended us also a factor. I say slavery has not ended because now the minds of African Americans are enslaved. We live in constant fear of being discriminated against and treated unfairly, forcing us to become like frightened animals trusting nobody, regardless of race. And when wild animals are afraid, they do not pay attention to anything but freedom. So we fight to be rich, kill each other for money and power, so we can put ourselves in a position where we feel safe. We do this all to cleanse ourselves from the feeling of being a minority, which is also a degrading word used to classify anyone that is not white, and it is a blatant word to expand white power in america. But just because the word is not technically disrespectful it is disregarded. How can we reach equality if we continue to place ourselves in categories above and below each other? As long as we remain naive of the disrespect it will continue. It is a hard task to change the world without wishes, which is why above all, I would wish for the change of the hardest task of all. I would wish for the power to liberate others from darkness and reach equality. That is my dream for humanity.
