My Letter To Thee

Those little eyes that stare back at me

I wonder as you grow who you'll be

choose the path that you want to go

don't worry, I'm right behind you...

just go slow

You don't need to wait any longer

but do not go beyond that yonder

He agrees to love you more than I

even so, I will love you as I die.

You are growing too fast

slow down my beautiful child!

But it's okay, I guess,

be tender and mild.

Until the sun will rise again in the morning

remember, each day is not as boring.

I can see that smile sooner than I think

in front of that Temple, in just a blink.

Hush now, my time is near

these words I speak to you shall hear

Child don't you cry, wipe those tears from your eyes

Alas, at last, I will no longer suffer because of thee

for this is what is meant to happen, they aren't lies

but now I must rest in peace and wait patiently.
