My Little Bird

 My Little Bird.

Little bird so soft, so sweet.

I give you all my treats.

The seed, and the crusts

Of all my breads I bake..

I’d do anything for you little bird.

That’s why I must tell you now

Before you feel safe and sound.

Little bird don’t build your nest here.

Go now and spread you wings

Escape this reality that’s me.

I will not always be laughs and smiles.

Oh no, when the night comes

I am a beast,

And I will feast

Upon your happiness and all over your joy.

Fly Little Bird, I don’t want you to see me cry.

Go to the meadows,

Find a beautiful bosom buddy

You forget all about me…

I’ll stay here in my cage.

I can’t hurt you from in here.

I will flourish on recollections of our time together,

And I can live with knowing you are bare of fear

Of the beast inside the cage.

Otherwise known as me.

Little bird don’t build your nest here,

The end is already too near.
