So many people seem to think that the world is so big

But in reality its very small indeed

I meet one person who read my poem

About love and war and peace

They told me they would love to share it 

So I said go ahead and have it

They took it from me and I had it no more

But only a few months after I saw it at the store

The man who took it was a writer 

He inspired me to write more

He pushed me to explore

He really helped me see

That poetry was who I am
