My love is everlasting

My love is everlasting
Like a tree that's evergreen
But it's not seen
By those who mean
To sweep it from its pedistool

It spreads from sea to see
And billows over lands
That even I cannot see
It roles through the wind
And stops at every bend
Touching people as it glides
Reaching faces in the sky

It's simple and it's perfect
At night and after dawn
Like a moon that's always gleaming
You wake in the morning you see a story in prestige

You open up a novel
that lures you to a rock
You yearn to jump into the water
Until it tells you stop
You tiptoe at the edge
And take a little glance
And wonder will you ever have a chance
