My Lover's Embrace

Tue, 10/14/2014 - 10:35 -- mselzer

I lay here in my lover's embrace

Warm kisses caressing my nose, my lips, my face.

The fierce desire and growing love

Has the stars singing from above.

Strong arms hold me through the night

While we soak in the silver moonlight.

Blue eyes enchant mine

And the love that ties us shines.

God knew when he created you and me

That together forever we would be.

There is nothing I would not do for you

And I know you would too.

Our warm bodies match each other

And our souls are woven together.

Our whispers linger in the air

As our thoughts we share.

Everything has changed,

My home, my life, my name.

Affection has gripped my heart

And threatens to pull it apart.

Sleep begins to overtake our minds

As our hearts are slowly combined.

Our love runs through the deepest cracks

And lightens the darkest facts.

My love you are worth every tear

And help me face every fear.

And as I lay here in your embrace

I can't imagine a better place.
