My Lullaby

Sleep my child, softly dream.

Days have worn upon you, hours are long and seasons slow.

A world of troubles is all you know.

Sleep my child, peaceful now, days are long, and seasons slow.

The world has left you alone my dear with nothing left to warm you.

Sleep my child, trust me now.

Days are long, and the seasons cold.

Gone are the days of fear unknown, just is not the world of man.

Sleep my child, its right to fear.

Seasons are slow, days may be long.

My love for you will always stay strong.
