My Purple Shoe

Deep inside my closet
I have a purple shoe.
This purple shoe is magical
If only I had two!
I do not know exactly
When this shoe appeared,
It showed up when I cleaned my room
And all the junk was cleared.
I picked it up and turned it about
And Oh! The things it did!
It quickly jumped right out of my hand
Then ran away and hid!
I began to chase that purple shoe.
I chased it to and fro!
Until I caught him in a box
And he had nowhere to go.
I asked him how he came to be
Inside my room so small,
His answer quite surprised me-
He had no clue at all!
I took the box inside my hands
And placed it on the ground.
The purple show stepped outside
And slowly looked around.
And then that crazy little shoe
Without making a sound,
Walked back inside the closet
Where moments ago was found.
Somedays when I’m super bored
And I have nothing to do,
I go inside my closet
And play with my purple shoe.
