Never Will I Be

A man who doesn't have it all together

Never will I be

Someone who is successful

People will say about me

That I party too much

And they won’t say

I am the kindest person that they know

I know what people will think

Inadequate, selfish, lazy

Never do I want to be

Hardworking and dedicated

It’s just who I am

I will amount to nothing

It must all be a lie that

I am a powerful human being

I will now know forever

I am worthless and have no purpose

Never will they say

I am a person and I matter
