A New Song(Of Financial Comfort)

Cinderella felt in bed like hell, she heard the bell she felt impaled in spirit just to hear it , searing pain unquelled

she'd wished and wished to be belle of the ball, to wed and to fall in love and to answer the night when it called at dusk

but those three, the bitterest blight, they held her in fright and they did such with spite in their hearts as they hauled through the maw of the dark

A spark, deep in the heart of her dream
a dream, though insane it may seem
but a dream she could certainly start to believe

A small tech company, undoubtedly hard to conceive but achievement is all she could see and she fled to more fitting scene up in Cali and rallied a valiant crew she could lead

she said:

"Team, we will sweat and we'll bleed, but know if my orders you heed you'll succeed"

and so they sweat, and so they bled, and so she led

and spring slowly curled into winter for seven years, and in the world of tech they were ahead

and as CEO she had dough and four cars and and four story mansion with gold plated halls

Now she hosts her own balls
and she's wed and she loves
and she answers the night when it calls her at dusk
