Nothingness

the gentle waves of the ocean are inviting;

it beckons me near.

I'm lured under, further, deeper through the water

my unworthiness all the more sheer.

time is no factor and thoughts don't exist.

here, it's only silence upon silence.

tick after tick.

there's no such thing as fear; on the surface my regrets float.

my natural being dissolves, I allow my nothingness to grow.

the stillness of the water cradles and caresses me in the deep,

and the whispers of unworthiness rocks me sleep.
