Oath to Angie

Location

Her cheeks sucked in, dimples in like screws, and the way her stem like hands flew
when we'd hold on tight as if it were just us two.

We perspire in the love that to us is absolute.
She drives the wheel in my heart braking on every bump.

Deeper in I swim saving her from the wave of doubt.
Reminding her the way to living isn't sinking, but diving in and floating up.

She's the wind that staggers my balance, I'm constantly catching my breath.
No notion can change the way our lyrical bones shake at each embrace.

The more I see, the more I believe she can be the color in my life.
Helping fill in these pages that are black in white, with purpose, catching beauty
within everyone's eyes.

All the flowers are blooming, all the stars all gleaming, all the rocks are living.
While everyone else is falling, everyone else is changing, everyone is deceiving.
She is keeping me breathing, with her pain and will to try.

Her dark complexion is the night carried by the glossed moon shaped orb.
I see the comets streaming out her rosen face, I have the galaxy in my hands.

If any other organ was essential to keep my alive and had no name,
I'd be sure to keep it scripted in hers.
With her I am in peace, she's the tongue who helps me speak, and all I wish to speak
is of her, my Angie.
