An Ode to Our Universe

I look into the sky, blue and alight

But when night comes and our sun sets

The stars come out to do their dance

And I look into the void

They move with indifference those twinkling ghosts

Up there is totality, brilliance, and wonder

Maybe to swim among them would be impossible

Yet to be a part of it is not

Every time I look into the soft night

Of your pupils, I see light

Reflected like the stars

At that moment when I fix my gaze

I know that what I look at is totality

At that moment I sense and feel

The same longing, despair, hope, and love
