Old "hat"
Ecclesiastes 1:9 New English Translation
9 What exists now is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done;
there is nothing truly new on earth.
Life goes on as death exists imprinted in the forever
Nothing new under the sun as all have been here before
How can one look at man’s fear and be reminded to say “never”?
As all the works, that are done, be a fruitless or fruitful endeavor
Hardened souls and indifferent minds right below the surface
Only to be brought out when death itself runs its course
It seems that all of it grinds slowly to its purpose
That was set before time began when lost self in remorse
Adam fell and then he blamed God, for his own shortcomings
Things since then have not changed much as it seems the same today
I won’t take a proper response for my misguided ability
That I direct from the outer-me for that seems the “human” way
Oh! Real me, where do you hide? Why can I never find you?
Don’t you know, that you suppose to direct my path?
Without you, I am vile and just cannot find the truth
Being lost in my pretenses being molded by my past
Failure upon failure are my accomplishments in deed
The more I try to glory in the achievements that appear
The more it makes me realize that on itself it feeds
The degradation in my soul that expands without any fear
The end of the day is just that and not the beginning of the night
For the night is in the day embalmed and has only just two sides
Looking from the front, you see all the glitter from your sight,
But when it turns its back only darkness seems its plight
To separate the two takes so much more than mankind.
To cut in half, what is joined by strings of the temporal?
Even time cannot erase the imprint of the profound
For the call and purpose was set in the abnormal
