One

There’s a world with two categories.

When dividing people, it’s the go to way to divide.

It’s said that they’re equal.

It’s said that one category is just dramatic.

It’s said that one category is equal, they just have high standards.

They’re still unequal.

One category became dominant because of a stereotype.

One category is now in charge of the world.

One category is in control.

One category leads.

One category is valued.

One category is in demand.

One category is important.

One category makes more money.

One category is admired more than judged.

One category is superior.

The other category sits while watching the other lead.

The other category hardly has a say.

The other category follows.

The other category is ignored.

The other category is abundant.

The other category is trivial.

The other category doesn’t deserve as much money.

The other category is judged more than admired.

The other category is inferior.

The categories in this society have always been unequal,

But it still doesn’t seem right.

It doesn’t seem right to have inequality for no real reason.

It doesn’t seem right to favor one over the other.

It doesn’t seem right to judge one for no other.

It doesn’t seem right to anyone.

It doesn’t seem right because it’s not.

It’s not right to separate people based on something they can’t control,

Based on something that shouldn’t matter,

Based on something as simple as gender.

It’s not right, yet it still happens.

It’s not right, but it still occurs.

It’s not right, but it’s still seemed as trivial.

It’s still thought that women shouldn’t be equal.

It’s still believed that women don’t deserve as much money as men.

It’s still believed that women are inferior.

It’s still believed that there is equality, even when there’s not,

Even when women are thought to be “feminazis” when wanting equality,

Even when women just want to be thought of as equal,

Not inferior and not superior.

Equal.
