One Job May change My life

Location

One job...

When I was little i wanted to be,

A princess, a singer, a mother of three.

I'd rush into my mothers room laughing with glee,

when told these things shed smile and tell me,

"Baby you can be whatever you want to be"

Eventually i grew older, in highschool at last.

My friends all knew what they wanted to be; time was ticking fast.

Nothing interested me but music and art.

People always told me majoring in that isn't smart.

It wasnt until sophomore year I decided it was time to take a stand,

this was my career, my life, there was no telling where i'd land.

So a shout out to all the kids whose dreams feel like they're cut by a knife,

remember the saying "One Job May Change my Life."
