Our Hearts

Mon, 07/09/2018 - 23:12 -- Mehwish

Cold mornings

Chilly nights

Why must we fight for love?

The kind of love we can't gain.

Why can't our heart be cold as January ice?

How long must we try?

One day...our hearts will lose hope.

They will decide to move on

But for now, no matter how much we decide to move on

We can't.

Unrequited love takes time to heal.

Open your heart up and let all your burdens go

Let your pain heal, for it will bring you ease.

When life brings sorrow, happiness is not too far apart.
