Pity

It's something we want no one to feel for us
Yet something we feel for others
My pain shouldn't be something others feel bad about
I have healed the wounds I have on the inside weather they are seen or not
Yet you feel sad for the wounds you see on the outside, yet those have healed
I don't need your pity
The shoulder you offered me to cry on was enough
Letting me  escape when others wouldn't is all the help I need
You feeling bad for things out of your control won't help to heal my pain
Feeling pity for the things that I've been through
Some that you'll never know about, and wouldn't want o find out
I've healed on my own
With you and no one by my side
The pity is unnecessary, for I take everything in stride
