A Poem Upon Wakening

When I

Wake up

And hear

The sound,

A Beating heart

I look aound.

I gaze upon

A sight to see

A granted sight

At least for me

And yet...

There is the fact

I am alive

A dazzling truth

I cannot hide.

It's hard to say

How much I've missed

When I have took

For granted this

So now...

I look upon the face with pride,

And gaze with wonder at the sight

That I am living and that fact

Is all I need & that is that.
