Poetry is not an intelligent

Arrangement of words or rhymes

But an articulation of heart

An articulation of emotion

An articulation of the subtle feelings

That can never be expressed by a prose

 

Poetry is associated with more heart

Than intelligence, astuteness or shrewdness

More associated with

Intuition than a knowledge

More associated with love

Than an attachment

 

It happens when you are at

The peak of any emotion

Like you are enormously happy

Or awfully sad,

 

The more a poet reached to the crest of any emotion,

The more he writes a poem

 

It is not that only poets can write poetry

Anyone who is aware of these

Peaks could write it

 

The difference between ordinary men

And a poet is just that-

He is more aware and lives life

With more involvement in it

 

He can see the beauty behind the beauty

The same world is different

From the eyes of a poet

He knows how to reach to the acme of

Any thought or emotion

 

For example

On seeing a lotus flower

Feeling of goodness may happen in some hearts

Some may be indifferent to the beauty of the lotus

Some may smell it and feel happy

And when a poet sees a Lotus

He becomes a lotus

 

His joy of seeing lotus is expressed in the form of a  poem

His poem is as beautiful, pore, new and scented as a real Lotus

 

As Toru Dutt also saw the lotus that we see

But she has written a breakthrough poem

‘The Lotus’

And become an immortal bard.
