Political Compromise. What does it mean?

It means many things wrapped into one simple dream.

It means coming together to fight for what is right

Putting aside our differences, no matter if we are black or we are white.

It means learning to be civil and shifting down a gear

Using our two ears to overpower our one mouth and hear

What others have to say, and take into account

That everyone is different, but their opinions are paramount

It means setting aside our vices and extending a helping hand

To agree to come together and make a better plan.

It means planning for our future and the times after that

Making a better world far better than our past.

But words only matter if they are followed by action

So lets stop all the hate and use a little compassion

It doesn’t matter our views or where we come from

What matters is what we do, and how we can achieve a better outcome
