POOL OF DARKNESS

I wish darkness had  no place in this world,

I'm tripping over my self and then I stop to think,

why do I have to lie to everyone?

Everytime they ask I say I'm fine, i'm great,

It's like society builds me up just to break me down,

It's like i'm a car with no engine,

it's like i'm a stack of jenga blocks ready to crash,

It's like i'm a lost soul that isn't found,

I don't mean to make everything about me,
what about the children bleading to death?

What about the elderly people who can no longer make decisions for themselves?

it takes darkness for the stars to shine,

I'm thinkin' -God, just give me a sign

This pool of darkness will not drown me,

I will not fall too deep,

I'm not giving it my soul to keep,

This darknes lingering isn't meant to be,

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
