Prayer of Praise

A prayer of praise

Beautiful, wonderful, amazing savior

Though the world turns its back, with You I’ve found favor

And I know in my heart I’m in reckless distress

So You came down to earth just to clean up our mess

And You’ve given us more than we’d ever ask for

With You in my heart, I’m exalted from the floor

Though my eyes search, I find

Nothing for I am blind

But You do reveal

Who can help but live zeal

Yes I love You so much, though you might not yet tell

Though I’m wicked, I sin. You still save me from hell?

So just know I am grateful, I don’t understand

I accept though inept, and not worthy Your hand

But I love you, I do, I believe in You

When the walls then do block me, and the waves crashing down

I will seek you and find you for I’m Heaven-bound

Make my place be with You, and I’d follow Your way

I commit myself, all to You this bright day

I will go where you send me, or wait for your time

Because You won’t forsake me, God of no other kind

And I cherish this gift, this new life that You’ve birthed

May I grow in Your ways, so I might put You first

Peace, love, joy, are the fruits of a life lived for you

So expand my devotion, above all emotion, so when I can someday take pebble from shoe

I will steward Your values, the lives loved by You
