The Pride of a Lost Man

The silent strike of lightning on the dead grass

Sends a shiver down his spine.

He looks toward the broken trees

And remembers why he's here.

He stands proud and broken under the starlit sky,

Stares into the white eyed of the dead from his past,

And weeps.
