The prisoner

The prisoner's Heart, beats in rage

writhing around in its scrim-shaw cage

the iron moon in all its glory

his too familiar allegory

the revels of nature cause to maim

no troubled conscious just the same

ragged breathing, earth, and sky

oh the glory of the lie

misfortune tends to be realized

in a pair of strange and unknown eyes
