Questions

Has it ever to you occurred

That life is short and quite absurd?

There's a fair woman in dress and hat

Greets a man that's short and fat

Says she follows Jesus' rules

Makes a comment that is rude

Gives the man a smile bright

Looks like he has seen the light

To her friend something she says

His happiness she cannot faze

A laugh they both are letting out

It does not bring him any doubt

A downward look she casts on him

His heart's great light does not dim

At the man she points and smirks

Visibly it does not work

Finally she calls a name

But his smile does not fade

If you ask her why she did

She will spin a twisted fib

But if you ask him what it was

He would not give you cause

The reason that his smile stayed

He has not caref'ly weighed

Don't you think apparitions odd?

They'll be the downfall of us all.
