Realization

You spend time learning about him,

The way he walks

The way he talks

They way that he smiles.

Mirroring that same smile on your face.

Mesmerized by the touch of his hand.

The warm gesture of his soft lips against yours.

But as soon as you think about that warm touch a cold feeling washes over you,

A cold winter breeze that shivers your bones.

It wakes you up, it opens your eyes to the reality that

They way that he walked,

The way that he talked,

The way that he smiled,

Would only be in your memory and not a reality.

The reality of knowing he is engaged,

To the girl that he left you for.

The uncomfortable truth of the situation

Shattering all of the wonderful memories,

Now you sit and observe,

Of how this new girl is memorized by,

The way that he walks

The way that he talks

And the way that he smiles.
